Abstract

The goal of the paper is to offer a characterisation of different ways of using the terms agreement and disagreement and to assess disagreements where subjects take themselves to instantiate the epistemic peerage relation. A distinction between merely verbal and substantive disagreement is put forth. A criticism of two popular solutions to the problem of epistemic peer disagreement is advanced.
