At first, the research represents a further development of the semiotics of narrativity, the main theoretical trait of this approach, which deepens the relationship between action and passion and the importance of modal devices. Then, emerge broader insights like the role attributed to the lexicon of natural languages in the segmentation of affectivity, and therefore on the cultural dimension of the latter. On the other hand, there is the general reformulation of the generative trajectory of meaning, in order to be able to account for the continuous phenomena characteristic of emotional life and of the forms of its semiotic expression.
